This is our minor wind damage from yesterday's storms. It wasn't even the storms but the winds that came after. I knew we were in trouble when my big cement squirrel flew away, LOL. Two of three lean-tos were blown over and my beloved willow tree finally snapped :(.
In the top photo that lean-to had been where the horse is laying down. It blew OVER the top of my 5 foot fence. No fence was damaged except the top wire stretched a little. Amazing!
There are times when I wonder how plants and trees can still have leaves and blossoms when the winds are so fierce as to blow over the heavy benches in my gardens. Somehow we all survive... look on the bright side, maybe it was time for that willow to have a trim.
